Brave Troubadours is a live concert and educational series, showcasing today's frontline musical change agents. Episodes include 60 minutes of song, captivating videos and music-driven activism centered around the issues of our time (civil rights, climate advocacy, poverty and health). You’ll enjoy intimate 15-minute sets of music and stories from each artist, getting to know their talents, and the inspiration behind their work and community impact. Join audience members from around the country and let these amazing creatives refresh your faith in a kinder, more unified world, through the power of music.
Our first episode of 2022 celebrates the Spirit of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and features three musician changemakers - Briana Wright, Kalyn Fay and Branjae Jackson - representing a new generation of Tulsa-based artists who are using their diverse talents to revitalize their community. Together we will explore how these next-gen musicians are creating their own distinct sound, delivering heart-driven community outreach and contributing toward the vibrant music scene in Tulsa. Artists will be joined by Emcee, Liz Stookey Sunde, Executive Director of Music to Life.
This special episode also acknowledges Music to Life’s collaboration with the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa. Music to Life and the Guthrie Center are helping Tulsa-based musicians understand the resources, skills and partnerships needed to build a social change practice and deliver sustainable, community-oriented programs. We encourage all Tulsa-based musicians, and their allies and supporters, to learn more about our Incubator Workshop for music-based community healing: Better World A ‘Comin, being held live in Tulsa on April 23-24, 2022. Click here for more information; artists need to complete an application to participate.
