Music to Life is partnering with Meridian International Center, a National Program Agency (NPA) for the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), to produce Music for Social Change: A Global Art House. This special event is part of the A Global Moment in Time: Reflections on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) IVLP project.

Music for Social Change: A Global Art House will bring two international artists — Kartika "Tika" Jahja of Indonesia and Vera Chisvo of Zimbabwe — together with two domestic, U.S.-based artists — Kamica King from Dallas, Texas and Ruben "Beny" Esguerra of Ontario, Canada. These musicians will share a song related to their community work and explore the intersection of music and social change, sharing their unique talents and backgrounds, and identifying similarities and differences in their work as advocates for greater DEIA. The discussion will be facilitated by Music to Life's Executive Director, Liz Stookey Sunde, and Dr. Belinda Chiu, an International Liaison with the U.S. State Department. Both musicians and audience members can expect plentiful opportunities for learning, reflection and inspiration.
