Voices in Musical Activism

Music to Life collaborated with the Southwest Regional Folk Alliance to bring you VOICES IN MUSICAL ACTIVISM – conversations with artists from South and Central Texas. Facilitated by our own, Leti Bueno, we tapped Accelerator graduate Sasha Klare-Ayvazian who exchanged inspiring stories with Jaime Ospina and Amalia Ortiz and we heard their change-driven music.

Music to Life is planning an Accelerator Workshop for musician activists in Rio Grande Valley, TX in 2022. With support from the Embrey Foundation and SWRFA, among others, we will be helping participants develop fundable concepts for their community-driven work, identify partners and funding sources and create an artist changemaker statement. We plan to engage Jaime and Amalia as mentors/instructors in the process.
