Panel Overview
Nonprofit businesses, NGOs, and governmental agencies collectively invest an astonishing $2 trillion each year in initiatives aimed at driving economic development, amplifying the arts, and improving the health and well-being of their diverse constituencies. This substantial "social change marketplace" represents an incredible opportunity for artists who are passionate about making a positive impact. However, navigating this realm requires more than just securing a commercial gig. Artists need to develop a toolkit of community-driven entrepreneurial skills to connect with the causes they are passionate about, identify suitable partners, and secure the necessary resources.
"Accessing the Social Change Marketplace" offers an interactive session that will introduce artists and their allies to the vast opportunities within today's social change marketplace. Through live case studies and group exercises, attendees will have the chance to apply their newfound knowledge and connect with like-minded creatives. This event will provide invaluable insights, tips, and tools to guide attendees' next steps, whether that means stepping into the marketplace as an artist or better enabling it as allies.
