Darci Gamerl

Darci Gamerl is a Canadian-American oboist, English hornist, composer, filmmaker, and arts leader based in Omaha. She co-founded the internationally award-winning Bel Canto Duo with cellist David Downing. Her interdisciplinary work unites music, film, ecology, and NeuroArts to strengthen community and support well-being.

A TEDxOmaha speaker and Nebraska Arts Council Touring Artist, Gamerl received the 2026 Lighton International Artist Exchange Award and co-created the award-winning documentary Taking Flight: The 8th Wonder of the World.
