Andrea Wise Smith
Andrea Wise Smith is a multi-disciplinary mission driven 
creative that works at the intersections of musical expression, place-based education, equitable community development, and collective liberation. As a singer and songwriter, Andrea draws from her cultural heritage as an African American woman in the Black Diaspora. Andrea’s melodic and soulful singing is rooted in Gospel, Soul, R&B, Jazz, and other global genres. Her voice brings a rich and stirring sound to listeners as she sings songs that carry waves of hope, passion, love, faith, joy and strength. Through her social venture Fearless Voice Media, Andrea seeks to leverage artistic practices and experiential learning to support undervalued community needs, especially children.
As a participant in the MCA Academy, Andrea continues her program, City Treks, encouraging Black and Brown children in public housing and lower-income urban neighborhoods to co-develop original music in accessible green spaces, embracing nature as a positive and vital part of their lives.
Andrea plans to post more information about City Treks after her maternity leave (Spring 2025) and meantime has been working on her promotional trailer and animation for her nature show, filmed at the National Arboretum.
