Ashley Rose
Ashley Rose was born in a small town in southeast Idaho and moved to Boise in 2008 to pursue music full-time. She has shared stages with Angelique Kidjo, Jefferson Starship, Vieux Farka Tauré, Ken Stringfellow (REM, The Posies), The Steve Miller Band, Curtis Stigers, Sugar Ray, Smashmouth, Jackie Venson & The Suffers, to name a few.
Ashley Rose has studied culture-specific art forms (folk dances, singing, percussion & textiles) with native master teachers in Indonesia, West Africa (Ghana), the Middle East (Egypt), Turkey & India and been sponsored by the Iraqi community in Boise to study & perform Iraqi folk dance. She also spent many years bridging opportunities & fostering relationships/mentoring New American musicians via performance opportunities. Her greatest joy now is teaching and mentoring young fem musicians and empowering them to step into the scene as well-trained, confident artists.
