Mark MK McLaughlin
Named Community Leader of the Year by Times Review Media Group, Mark “MK” McLaughlin is a powerful force for unity, justice, and joy across Suffolk County. As a gifted vocalist and community builder, MK’s work has brought together thousands through music and advocacy. He is widely recognized as the “Voice of Honor” for his moving National Anthem performances most notably at Citi Field for the New York Mets, where he invited individuals with disabilities and special needs onto the field to be celebrated.
MK is the founder of the Huddle for Hunger initiative, an annual flag football food drive that energizes the Town of Riverhead around youth engagement and food security. He also serves as Chairman of the Riverhead Anti-Bias Task Force and Media Liaison for the Town of Riverhead, helping shape programs that address hate crimes, promote healing, and celebrate cultural heritage.
