Vidya Ramachandhiramani
Vidya Ramachandhiramani is a software engineer and Carnatic singer from the South of India. She has been an instructor and practitioner of Carnatic music for many years and the founder of Sadhana Fine Arts—a music school dedicated in promoting and teaching South Indian classical music—Carnatic Vocal and Veena—in Northwest Arkansas. She underwent her training during early years with Smt. Sankari, B.A. in Carnatic music. Her advanced training in Carnatic music with Kanchi Kamakoti Asthana Vidwan, Acharya Choodamani. Late. Sri. A. Sundaresan, a professor and an A-grade artist with All India Radio. Later she also had the privilege to learn from Shri Paramakudi S Ravindran,, a disciple of eminent artists Madurai Somu and Shri TN Seshagopalan and A. Sundaresan. She had the honor of learning the national instrument of India—the veena—from Late. Mrs. Kamala Sankaran, who dedicated her life to teaching Veena. Mrs. Kamala Sankaran is a student of Sangita Kalanidhi Dr. S. Ramanathan, a renowned singer and musicologist, and Mrs. Rajalakshmi Narayanan, principal of Adyar Music College. She hails from a musical family of graded AIR artists—her father, Mr. Rajagopalan, who was a performing violinist, and her mother, Mrs. Ambulu Rajagopalan, who was a graded AIR vocalist—both giving regular concerts.
With the blessings of her gurus, She has been performing and teaching in India and now in the USA with Sadhana Fine Arts. She engages with nonprofits like the Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation for promoting South Indian music in NWA. Students of her school regularly participate in Saptaswara—a bi-yearly showcase in the NWA area by the Ra-Ve cultural foundation—and the Carnatic music competitions hosted by Saptami, a nonprofit organization in the Dallas, TX, area. Recently, she also performed in "Veena Gaanam"—a Carnatic vocal and veena ensemble—at the esteemed Cleveland Thiyagaraja Utsavam 2025. Vidya took part in Music to Life's Musician Changemaker Accelerator (MCA) Workshop in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2025 before being accepted into their Juried Artist network.
