Marcell Johnson
Marcell Johnson is a transformational artist, speaker, and life coach whose work bridges music, mentorship, and media. He is the founder of Back 2 Purpose (B2P), a youth mentoring program that partners with schools across Western Pennsylvania to teach social-emotional learning and purpose discovery. Through this work, Marcell equips young people—especially in the Black community—with tools for emotional regulation, identity, and leadership.
Marcell also extends his vision through media as the host of a purpose-driven life coaching TV show, where he shares principles of transformation and resilience with a broader audience. His artistry carries the same mission. His debut single “Up on Top” introduced listeners to his uplifting and purpose-driven style, and his upcoming Back 2 Purpose Album Fall (2025) will combine music and teaching as both an artistic statement and community resource.
He has performed at the August Wilson Center Block Party, New Hazlett Theater, and Northway Hub, using each platform to connect art and purpose. Whether on stage, in schools, or through media, Marcell’s work is unified by one conviction: every person carries a unique blueprint, and his mission is to help them uncover it.
