Al "Papa Rap" Lopez
Al Papa Rap Lopez is originally from Puerto Rico and has lived in NWA since 1994. Al is a self-taught musician who has composed and arranged hundreds of songs that he uses in his live performances. He performs solo or he can also bring his 8-piece band, "ArkanSalsa" or a trio to perform at parties, schools, children's events, corporate events and more.
Papa Rap loves to use his bilingual Salsa Rap songs to bring people together to dance and have fun. He believes that through the arts people can find common ground to work together and become a stronger community. Al's favourite quote: "Smart Starts with The Arts" PR. Papa Rap took part in Music to Life's Musician Changemaker Accelerator (MCA) Workshop in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2025 before being accepted into their Juried Artist network.
