Mikara
Mikara is a Japanese American electronic pop artist crafting music for the delulu lovergirl. With honey-coated vocals and vulnerable storytelling, she blends fantasy and reality, pouring her soul into glittery beats that make you want to dance through love, heartbreak, and healing. Her music explores themes of toxic relationships, self-love, friendship, emotional growth, and feminine power, resonating with listeners who crave connection and transformation. Whether she’s serenading you with lyrics straight from her diary or leading her Discord community through conversations about healing and friendship, Mikara’s mission is clear: to remind her audience they’re never alone.
Her passion for music began in childhood. While her father K-Doh played guitar to lull the kids to sleep, Mikara stayed up singing and dancing. By age six, she was performing in front of crowds with her dad backing her on guitar - a tradition they continue today with his band, K-Doh & The Doh-Nutz. Mikara has performed across California, from the Bay Area to LA, including a standout performance at the Apple Store in Union Square representing Asian American artists. In 2021, she won celebrity vocal coach Cari Cole’s Best New Artist Contest and earned a scholarship for The Ride with world-renowned coach Wendy Parr. Her singles “you’re gonna miss me” and “Runaround” landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday Philippines playlist, earning praise for their dreamy production and emotional honesty. Mikara is currently working on her debut full-length hyperpop album, set to release in 2026.
