Phat Man Dee

A pan-spiritual, Jewish, bisexual artist and working-class creator, Phat Man Dee is deeply committed to uplifting marginalized communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals. She co-founded Social Justice Disco, a collaboration with Liz Berlin (formerly of Rusted Root) that merges music and activism. She also sings alto with the Pittsburgh Heritage Gospel Chorale under Dr. Herbert V.R.P. Jones.
Phat Man Dee’s discography spans over two decades, including notable projects as artist and producer. She is dedicated to music education, coaching at-risk youth through the We Rock Workshop, teaching private students, and serving as an alumni faculty member of the Afro American Music Institute.
Her activism extends beyond music: she has contributed as Social Media and Press Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit, co-chaired the DEI committee for Songwriters of North America, and served on the boards of the Rosencomet Project and Starwood Festival. Phat Man Dee’s journey reflects her unwavering pursuit of artistic excellence, social justice, and community building through music.
